This is the website of Lars Johanson and Éva Á. Csató. It presents their contributions to Turkic linguistics, including their publications, the journal Turkic Languages, the series Turcologica, the Encyclopedia of Turkic Languages and Linguistics, and a range of other resources, events and updates for those interested in the Turkic languages.

Lars Johanson, Swedish-born linguist, played a crucial role in establishing the study of Turkic languages as a modern linguistic discipline. In addition to his significant work on Turkic linguistics, his studies in general linguistics, primarily language typology, are of great importance. His theoretical models for the study of verbal aspect systems, evidentiality, and contact linguistic phenomena have been applied to a number of languages.

Éva Á. Csató, Hungarian-born linguist, Professor Emerita of Turkic languages at Uppsala University, Sweden. She has contributed various articles and edited books to theoretical and documentary Turkic linguistics. She has been elected external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Turkic Languages, published by Harrassowitz, Wiesbaden, is the only journal devoted to linguistic Turcology. The journal aims at presenting work of current interest on a variety of subjects and thus welcomes contributions on all aspects of Turkic language studies.

Karaim is an endangered Turkic language having three varieties: Northwest Karaim in Lithuania, Southwest Karaim in the Ukraine, and East Karaim in Crimea. Documentation of these varieties have been an urgent task. See the Karaim language resources.
